21st ASEF Summer University, Australia & New Zealand, 27 Jan-10 Feb 2018

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) is an intergovernmental organisation based in Singapore which promotes understanding and cooperation between the people and institutions of both continents. The 21st ASEF Summer University (ASEFSU21) takes place from 27 January–10 February 2018 and will focus on the topic ‘Youth with Disabilities: Shaping inclusive ASEM Societies’.

ASEF will organise ASEFSU21 in partnership with Swinburne University of Technology (Melbourne, Australia) and the University of Canterbury (Christchurch, New Zealand). The deadline for applications is on Sunday 10 December 2017.

We welcome students of all academic disciplines and mixed abilities. In line with our mission to provide equal educational opportunities for young people, participation in the ASEFSU is funded by ASEF and its project partners. In the field of education, we focus on higher education collaboration, LLL and youth leadership. One of our flagship projects is the ASEF Summer University (ASEFSU), a 2-week experiential learning journey and “Interdisciplinary Innovathon” to foster cross-cultural exchanges and networks among the ASEM youth. ASEFSU takes place annually, each year tackling a different theme of socio-political concern within Asia and Europe. The project offers students and young professionals the unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge on contemporary issues and propose concrete solutions to societal challenges.
