Currently the call for proposals is being finalised in which the themes of the call will be explained and made definite. Also the participating countries will be definite by then. The Netherlands is participating for sure, contributing through NWO and the Rijksdienst Cultureel Erfgoed.

The following fifteen countries are likely to participate: Italy, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Romania, UK, Sweden and Israel. Please note that each participating country will have different funding rules for its participants. These will be further explained in the Eligibility Requirements, as available in the call early March. The concept version of the Netherlands can already be consulted.

For the Heritage Plus call three main themes are announced. These have been drawn from areas identified in the Strategic Research Agenda for the JPICH:
• Safeguarding tangible cultural heritage and its associated intangible expressions
• Sustainable strategies for protecting and managing cultural heritage
• Use and re-use of all kinds of cultural heritage
In the call itself more detail will be given per theme.

This call is for pre-proposals advancing research primarily on tangible cultural heritage including the interlinked aspects of digital and intangible heritage. Heritage Plus is part of the Joint Programming Initiative in Cultural Heritage and Global Change (JPICH). The Heritage Plus funding model agreed by the funders will ensure that the highest ranked proposals are funded.

From early March NWO can be approached through a special contact person available by email.
