The master’s programme European Studies is tailored to enhance your existing knowledge about Europe and its place in the world and is one of the top ranked master’s programmes in the Netherlands.
The areas of expertise are the following:
- European Politics & International Relations: concentrates on the international position and politics of the European Union as a political entity with a strong emphasis on IR and Foreign and Security Policy
- European Public Policy & Administration: focuses on the political and administrative mechanisms and balances between the institutions of the European Union, its member states and civil societies
- Europe in a Globalising World: focuses on Europe and its member states’ shifting roles on the world stage in parallel to collective efforts to address global challenges such as international migration and development
Each of the specialisations have a different set of core courses.
