The National Research Fund Luxembourg opens applications for its AFR PhD programme. This programme enables researchers in Luxembourg to take up doctoral positions abroad, or for researchers of any nationality to take up doctoral positions in Luxembourg. Proposals in all domains of research and technological development are eligible for funding. The application deadline is Thursday 17 March.
Applicants must hold a university degree that allows them to enter into doctoral training, or have obtained the degree before the start of the PhD project.
Grants have a maximum duration of four years. Applicants with employment contracts will receive an annual salary of up to €40,154 per year. Applicants without work contracts will receive a maximum of €18,000 per year. A one off travel grant of between €250 and €2,000 may also be awarded.
