Arts & Culture alumnus Micha Wertheim will perform his seventh one man show “Micha Wertheim For Himself” at the Vrijthof Theatre on Wednesday 29 April, 20.00. Thanks to Micha, Maastricht University students and staff will get discounted tickets for €10. Use the code ’’Universiteit Maastricht’’ to order tickets by phone or to buy them directly at the theatre counter. The performance will be in Dutch.
“Twenty years ago, I studied Arts & Culture (cultuurwetenschappen) in Maastricht. The faculty was young and small and nobody knew exactly what one could do with this new degree. That’s what made it extra exciting. Back then we had five years to study, and I did not have a student debt when I graduated, so I can’t compare it to studying nowadays. But I do believe my years in Maastricht were very important to what I now do on stage. I am not really able to explain why and how. But if there is one thing I have learned during my study in Maastricht, it is that others are often better in determining where certain influences come from and how they end up. That’s why I think it would be nice if students from the faculty came to see my new show (in Dutch). Fresh eyes and young minds are what will be good for the show!”
