BA Digital Society receives green light from Den Haag

We are an important step closer to launching the BA Digital Society in 2019. In July, we received the good news that the macro-efficiency test was approved by the Minister for Education, Culture and Science. This means we are allowed to start recruiting students.

The full advice of the Commissie Doelmatigheid Hoger Onderwijs (CDHO) to the Minister can be found on the CDHO website (in Dutch).

Very briefly, they have accepted our argument that there is space for the BA Digital Society in the Dutch university landscape, and that the programme is of both societal and scientific relevance.

The accreditation documents have been approved by the Executive Board, and submitted to NVAO.

Later in the autumn, we’ll start organising a series of workshops for staff who may be interested in teaching on the first year. Let Sally Wyatt (sally.wyatt@maastrichtuniversity.nl) know if you are interested. General announcements will be made, but it would be good to know if people are already interested.
