On Friday 13 December, Prof. Maaike Meijer will give the Bilderdijk lecture 2019 ‘Triumf! ik ben voldaan, ik zal onsterfelijk zijn’ (in Dutch).
This biennial lecture takes place at the Grote of St. Bavokerk at de Grote Markt in Haarlem. The lecture starts at 16.30 but doors open at 16.00. Tickets cost €5.
During the lecture, Prof. Meijer will reflect on the life and work of a number of important literary women in Bilderdijk’s time. Additionally, she provides insights into the relationship between men and women in the literary field.
