About the book
Inspired by Alexis de Tocqueville, Friedrich Nietzsche, Max Scheler and the Dutch publicist Menno ter Braak, Sjaak Koenis will subject the Dutch democracy to a new and contrary research.
About the author
Sjaak Koenis is a political philosopher at Maastricht University. He has published several well-received books: ‘Het verlangen naar gemeenschap’ (1997) and ‘Het verlangen naar cultuur’ (2007), which were nominated for the Socratesbeker, the Dutch price for best philosophical book.
