Call for freelance writers and artists for Mosaïek magazine

Mosaïek magazine is calling for freelance writers and artists among our staff and students. Mosaiek is an independent, non-profit magazine, exclusively run by FASoS students, which encourages expression in relation to humanities and social sciences. Join our second meeting on Monday 27 March, 18.00, in room 2.020 (also known as ‘StudentReps Office’) or send us an email at mosaiek@maastrichtuniversity.nl.

After one year of being inactive, we have decided to relaunch a more diverse version of the magazine. Our aim is to show the true vibrancy of the faculty through the productions and works of its students. Additionally, we allow guest writers & artists to display their work in the magazine. Therefore, we are looking for freelance writers and artists with different backgrounds, interests and aspirations. What has been on hold for over a year will now be reflecting the intellectual and academic life of Maastricht; this entails articles, poems, opinions, columns, short stories, photography, artworks and anything else you would like to share of your own work.

In addition, it is our goal to create a cultural hub of creative individuals with an interest in current debates.

Concerning the writing community, we will be focusing on peer review to improve your writing and editing skills. Artworks and photographic materials will also be an essential part of the creative process of the magazine. We encourage mainly Dutch and English writing. In the case of poetry we encourage writings in every language our community offers.

For further information, our second gathering of writers and artists will take place on Monday March 27, 18.00 at room 2.020 also known as ‘StudentReps Office’.

Otherwise, feel free to write us a message through Mosaïek Facebook page or send an email to mosaiek@maastrichtuniversity.nl

We are looking forward to your submissions!
