Ghent University invites PhD students to send in applications, under its special research fund, for its joint doctoral grants. These grants support PhD students who wish to take a doctorate under joint supervision from Ghent University and a non-Flemish partner university or institution for higher education. Application deadline: Thursday 7 May.
The duration is a minimum of six months and a maximum of 24 months at Ghent University. The stay may be divided into several periods within the span of four years.
Two types of funding are available, covering only the stay at Ghent University:
1) PhD scholarship, for which the student receives a minimum of €1,860 per month and the Ghent University promoter a bench-fee of €310 a month;
2) Top-up funding, for which the student receives €1,000 per month and the Ghent University promoter a bench-fee of €310 a month.
Candidates must be enrolled at a non-Flemish university or institute of higher education.
