This is a call to the Netherlands-based scientists and scholars to sign the ‘Scientists4Future NL’ consensus statement in support of the climate strike on 27 September. Around 1,000 signatures have been collected so far.
On Friday 27 September, people of all ages went on strike worldwide to demand stronger climate action by their governments. We are Netherlands-based scientists and scholars who have composed a consensus statement underlining the concerns of the strikers. 50 scientists from across the Netherlands contributed to the composition of this statement. The aim of this statement is not only to communicate with the public but to create a horizontal platform that unites the scientific community concerned about human-induced climate change.
