CampusEurope – the first and only European network for student TV

CampusEurope brings together young writers and student TV stations with the aim to produce a truly European media platform for their generation. The initiative consists of 10 student TV stations from 10 different European countries and over eight writers from eight different universities. CampusEurope captures and publishes first-hand information from different European countries, just like international and professional news networks.

It is the mission of CampusEurope to create an open space for dialogue and to obtain a large field of diverse opinions. Consequently, this will allow the audience to gain completely new insights on a subject. CampusEurope is able to show information from many perspectives, may they be local, regional or European, coming from students, professors or EU officials. One can quickly notice that information from various different perspectives is more interesting and more enlightening, in contrast to having a monotone perspective that national media often delivers. CampusEurope is not bound to any national media platform or television chain, instead it is a student project which is freely available to anyone on our website, Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. CampusEurope is completely independent from any national interests or prejudices, and instead focused on presenting news from a highly inclusive European perspective. Further, the project does not limit the access to the product to any special group or region, yet permits everyone interested to use the information provided.

The content of CampusEurope is related to European affairs, issues which young people in particular face and subjects that lack attention. The episodes deal with subjects such as trust of young Europeans into the EU, the Erasmus programme and the migration of young people in Europe due to the economic crisis. In addition, we have articles dealing with subjects such as the EU and the Nobel Prize, LGBT rights in Europe and even pieces that are dedicated to people such as Jean Claude Juncker

Campus Europe wants to catch the voices and opinions of the continents future generations. The project wants to give them a platform where they can deal with issues, no matter which country in Europe they are from. The network of student television stations and writers are from all over Europe. Consequently, it is able to present news and topics from all over Europe from a truly European point of view. By doing so, CampusEurope has the chance to look at important topics from several angles and present the voices of students from numerous European countries. Therefore, CampusEurope helps to connect people from all over the continent, to build new interlinkages between Europe’s future generations, and to preserve the European dream of a diverse yet united people.
