You can borrow a DIY videokit for your smartphone via Ask your Librarian.
The kit consists of:
- mini-tripod/selfie stick
- shoulder pod (see picture)
- external microphone including a ‘dead cat’ (to reduce noise) and connection cable
- a light
- a dual USB charger

Inner City Library cautiously opens doors again
On Monday 25 May, the Inner City Library cautiously opened its doors again.
We would like to offer an opportunity to visit the library to as many people from the UM community as possible. Therefore we will be working with three timeslots of 2.5 hours each day and can only give you one timeslot a day. You can reserve a spot here.
Temporary access to Politics Trove
Via the UM Library website, Oxford University Press offers free access to 35 titles of Politics Trove until 30 June 2020. Connect to the UM network to access the database.
Discover a great learning resource for those studying politics and international relations. Sub-collections include Human Rights & Politics, International Relations, and Security Studies.
Trial: database MLA
Since 20 April, FASoS has access to the database ‘MLA International Bibliography with Full Text’ for a trial period of 4 weeks. To access the database you first need to connect to the UM network.
We invite you to take a look at the database and inform us about your experiences via this form before Monday 18 May.
New database for FASoS: SAGE Research Methods Foundations
After a successful trial, the FASoS Library committee decided to subscribe to the database SAGE Research Methods foundations.

Trial: Age of Exploration database
As of 1 April, FASoS can access the Age of Exploration database for a trial period of 12 weeks. The trial ends on 25 June.
