FASoS lectures for Master students by UM Career Services

UM Career Services organises three lectures for all Master students (a separate lecture series will be organised for European Studies Master students):

  • Wednesday 03 October 15.30 – 16.30: “Get to know yourself”
  • Wednesday 17 October 15.30 – 16.30: “Exploring the labour market”
  • Wednesday 31 October 09.00 – 10.00: “Entering the labour market”

Due to the limited availability of seats, early registration is strongly recommended.

Workshop about making the right (study) choices, on 21 June

Job interview in prospect? Get individual training at UM Career Services

How can you prepare for your job interview? Make an appointment for an individual simulation!

The ‘Job interview simulation‘ is one of the best ways to prepare for an actual job interview. It allows you to gain experience and practice in answering questions which you are likely to be asked by the recruiter. After the interview you will watch the video, discuss it and the career counsellor will give feedback. It will take 1,5 hours and costs €15.

All FASoS students can take part in one free workshop per academic year at UM Career Services.

Master Yourself: let UM help you prepare for your career

Between February and May, Master Yourself offers a variety of free workshops, masterclasses and networking events to prepare you in the best possible way for your career. You develop your professional skills and learn all the tips & tricks from the experts while visiting their companies. Your CV is also sent to the right person in the right place and you get an official letter of recommendation after attending at least 3 sessions.

Job preparation lecture for FASoS master’s students on 13 December

UM Career Services offers three career-related lectures for FASoS master’s students in November and December. On Wednesday 13 December the last lecture takes place: ‘Entering the labour market‘. There is a maximum capacity of 70 seats, you can register online.

Do you want to nail your next job interview? Practice makes perfect!

Doing a job interview simulation is one of the best ways to train for a real job interview. UM Career Services offers you the chance to practise a job interview with a career counsellor in the role of recruiter, after which you will receive feedback. The job interview simulation lasts 1.5 hour and costs €15. Location: Student Services Centre (SSC), Bonnefantenstraat 2. Register online.
