CPD COVID-19 update

As you know, due to the COVID-19 crisis all UM teaching activities are currently migrating online.

The Executive Board wishes to formally recognise the formal and informal learning process you are engaging in by regarding this as the fulfilment of your CPD hours for this academic year.

Please inform your line-manager and FASoS CPD coordinator Patrick Bijsmans about relevant activities you have undertaken.

Open call for EPC member BSc Global Studies: deadline extended

We are looking for a FASoS representative to serve on the Educational Programme Committee (EPC) for the new inter-faculty BSc Global Studies.

Interested candidates are invited to send a CV and a short motivation letter/email to fransje.muijsken@maastrichtuniversity.nl. The application deadline is up to and including Monday 6 April.

Important change IAM from 3 March onwards

At UM, the IAM (Identity and Access Management) project currently takes care of the automated creation of accounts and authorisations. Both from the point of view of information security (GDPR and segregation of duties) and data quality, it is of great importance that the creation and cancellation of accounts takes place via controlled and uniform processes. IAM takes care of that.

FASoS Study Saturday, on Saturday 28 March

Library full and nowhere to go? Is your room feeling tiny and you need to get out? Good news: FASoS will be open on Saturday 28 March from 9.00 – 19.00 for a Study Saturday.

All tutorial rooms in GG76 will be open. This includes all study rooms and the computer suite.

Don’t worry about staying caffeinated and fed – everyone’s favorite café, Bandito Espresso, will be open to keep everyone energised.

Vacancy: programme director MA ES (2020-21) & ES/EPA (as of 2021)

The Faculty Board aims to have one programme director for both the MA ES and the MA EPA as of September 2021. For this reason we are looking for a highly motivated staff member who would like to act as programme director of the MA EPA/ES as of September 2021, and as a start already takes care of the MA ES programme next year (2020-21).

The director will receive the support of a newly appointed educational coordinator.

Vacancy: General Member of the FASoS Board of Examiners

As of September next year, UM offers an interfaculty bachelor’s programme: Global Studies.

For this programme, the quality is monitored by an Educational Programme Committee and the quality of its exams is warranted by the FASoS Board of Examiners.
