CERiM awarded EU funding as Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence

The newly created Centre for European Research in Maastricht (CERiM) has been successful in attracting support from the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme (2015-2018). The joint application from the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences will further enhance cooperation between both faculties in terms of education, research and (public) outreach.

As a Centre of Excellence, CERiM aims to be leading in research and education on Europe by organising inspiring lectures, productive workshops and informative conferences to the benefit of students, staff and the wider community. The funding obtained through the Jean Monnet programme will help CERiM to achieve these goals.

Researchers from both FASoS and FL contribute to the activities of CERiM. The board of the centre consists of Tannelie Blom, Thomas Christiansen, Thomas Conzelmann, Christine Neuhold, Kiran Patel, and Sophie Vanhoonacker (FASoS) and Monica Claes, Aalt Willem Heringa, Ellen Vos, and Bruno de Witte (Faculty of Law).
