‘City Deal Kennis Maken’ matching session, on 1 November 2019

The City Deal Kennis Maken (translated: City Deal Creating Knowledge) (CDKM) has made funding available for research projects into rich learning environments. On 1 November from 13.45-15.00, a matching session takes place in Den Bosch to link (junior) researchers to questions from municipalities and other parties.

Please contact Michelle van Mulken if you are interested in participating.

CDKM has made €300,000 available for conducting research into rich learning environments. The way in which education can be more systematically and structurally connected with social issues needs to be investigated even better. In this way, the effects of rich learning environments can be better understood (for example, which skills students acquire) and it can be better substantiated what the working principles of successful initiatives are.

The SIA governing body has set up a research scheme for the CDKM. Within this scheme, researchers affiliated with the knowledge institutions participating in the CDKM can be given the opportunity to carry out short-term (maximum 12 months) research projects. The maximum amount that can be requested is €20,000. A condition is that afterwards the results are shared with the national network of the CDKM, in order to stimulate learning of the network.

UM is involved in the CDKM and researchers are invited to apply for funding. The matching session takes place on Friday 1 November from 13.45-15.00 at Koning Willem I College in ‘s-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch). It is aimed at linking (junior) researchers to questions from municipalities and other parties regarding rich learning environments. This is a first step towards content for possible submissions within the research regulation. The matching session forms part of the fourth national knowledge exchange day of the CDKM.
