Decisions
- The Board nominated the four BA and MA candidates for the SWUM Student Prize 2020. The prize winners will receive their award during a special ceremony in the morning programme of the Dies Natalis celebrations on 31 January.
- The management staff of the BA Global Studies made a request to deviate from the UM deadlines for EU and non-EU applications of 1 May and 1 April respectively, and to set the deadline for all their applications on 25 May. The Board agreed to this, but only for recruitment of the academic year 2020/2021.
- The co-ordinator Continuous Professional Development (CPD), Patrick Bijsmans, has drafted a list of activities for staff in the framework of CPD. For each activity a number of solver hours has been agreed on, with a total of 22 hours for the whole CPD menu.
Announcements
- The Faculty Board discussed the latest draft of the sector plan maatschappij- en gedragswetenschappen, developed by the deans of the Dutch social sciences faculties. The plan describes a common strategy for education and research, which will strengthen the contribution of these disciplines to the solution of social issues.
