In November, the FASoS Faculty Board held two meetings on 11 and 25 November. For an overview of the decisions and announcements, see below.
Decisions
• The Faculty Board decided on solver hours for the final works trajectories:
o In case of a fail in the second sit in August 2015, solver hours will be given for supervision. This is a one-off decision for 2014/2015.
o For supervision of students in the conditional/fall winter track 2014/2015 doing their second resit faculty will additionally receive half of the regular number of solver hours.
o The Office of Student Affairs will make an inventory of solver hours and credits final works in the academic year 2014/2015.
• FASoS sponsors the Christmas Ball for students and staff on 4 December, organised by Concordantia, Orakel and Student Representatives.
• The Faculty will contribute an amount of €3,500 to the organisation of EuroMUN 2016.
Announcements
• Staff of the Faculty Office, in collaboration with the Board of Examiners, is working on a procedure where students who do an extracurricular internship can postpone graduation for a maximum period of six months.
• The special chair Digital Cultures in Development and the appointment of Sally Wyatt as chair holder have been extended for a five-year term.
