Donate now for the ‘Maastricht goes to Calais’ Refugee Camp project

‘Maastricht goes to Calais’ is a project founded by four students of FASoS and Law, which aims at bringing concrete help to the refugees living in the refugee camp of Calais. The project is open to all.

How can you contribute?

  • Donate any amount you wish to the fund-raising page
  • Donate any primary needs goods you do not use anymore at our collection point at the reception of Grote Gracht 90-92 or contact us through Facebook or email

The first week of November the first expedition to the camp will take place in order to bring food and primary needs goods.

The Calais refugee camp, better named as the “Jungle”, due its inhuman living conditions, is the biggest refugee camp located in the North of France, just few hours drive from Maastricht. In fact, any small effort can improve daily living conditions. The purpose of this project is to use the enormous potential and the values upon which our Maastricht community develops, to practically help those 10.000 men, women, children, forced to live in such a degrading tent city without primary necessities, deprived of all liberties. In the first week of November we are going to Calais and in the meanwhile we started a fund-raising activity as well as a collection of clothes, canned food, blankets, sleeping bags and any primary goods in order to help refugees face the upcoming winter.
