Emergency procedures at FASoS: what to do in case of an emergency?

At FASoS there are clear emergency procedures, which are indicated at several locations throughout the buildings. From our most recent evacuation exercise in Grote Gracht 80-82, we learned that not everyone within FASoS is familiar with these procedures. The most important procedures for staff and students are pointed out below.

  • If you discover a fire, or other serious incident requiring attendance from our emergency response team, call the universities emergency number 1333. State your name, your location and the nature of the emergency.
  • If you hear the fire alarm call the emergency number 1333, leave the building via the nearest available escape route and go to our assembly area at the back of our faculty (near the parking space).
  • Always follow the directions of the emergency response team. They can be recognised by their vests in bright colours.
