ERC Starting Grant Workshop, on 3 July

If you consider to apply for an ERC Starting Grant, the ERC Starting Grant Workshop organised on Tuesday 3 July might be something for you. This workshop provides more in-depth information and is a follow up of the general information session, which will take place on Thursday 7 June.

The workshop is for excellent researchers (2-7 years after promotion) with an excellent idea for frontier research, who consider applying for an ERC Starting Independent Researcher grant (max. 1,5 mln euro over a period of max. 5 years). Detailed knowledge on how to write an ERC Starting Grant will be provided. Important issues that will be addressed are:

  • What is ground-braking challenging frontier research?
  • What constitutes an excellent young researcher?
  • Writing a ERC Starting Grant proposal
  • The Evaluation Procedure
  • From high-gain/high-risk idea to challenging proposal
  • Demonstrating feasibility
  • Writing outstanding personal track records

The workshop is in English. The maximum number of participants for the workshop is 24. Participation is therefore subject to an intake procedure. We would like you to write your research idea in 2 A4 and provide your CV.

If interested please contact your funding advisor Merle Achten (merle.achten@maastrichtuniversity.nl) before Friday 8 June.
