Erik Prins to replace funding advisor Merle Achten during maternity leave

Merle Achten, the Faculty’s funding advisor, will be on maternity leave from Monday 19 June until Monday 30 October 2017. During this time, Erik Prins will support researchers with their funding proposals. Erik can best be reached by email.

Erik Prins is involved in supporting researchers to realise their ambitions. His over 20 years’ experience ranges from strategic issues of research funding, setting up public-private cooperation in innovation, up to operational implementation of projects with private and public funding. Erik developed a hands-on approach, based upon his background in agricultural engineering (Wageningen University). He has excellent oral and written communication skills. Throughout his career he has been involved in over 100 R&D projects, co-funded by private and public parties, such as NWO (Talent Scheme, Open Competition, Roadmap), national and regional governments and European funds (FP4 – H2020, LLP, LIFE+).
