Dr. Agnes Andeweg (Centre for Gender & Diversity, Literature & Art) has been awarded the Essay Prize 2014 of the International Society for Cultural History (ISCH). This was announced at the ISCH annual conference in Johannesburg, South-Africa. Andeweg received the prize for her article ‘Manifestations of the Flying Dutchman: on materializing ghosts, and (not) remembering the colonial past’. The prize has a value of GBP 250 (EUR 315). Dr. Andeweg’s article will be published in the Society’s journal, Cultural History.
