Expected call schedule ERC grants 2014

The European Research Council (ERC) strives to launch its calls in 2014 as
follows:
• Starting Grants: these are likely to open first,
with the opening expected in the first quarter of 2014, and the deadline by the
end of March 2014.
• Consolidator Grants: call opening and
deadline in second quarter 2014
• Advanced Grants: call
opening and deadline in fourth quarter of 2014

The European
Research Council (ERC) expects to publish its work programme by the end of 2013.
In the work programme, the rules and regulation for participation, budget and
the timing of the calls of 2014 will be announced. For 2014, the ERC strives to
plan as follows:

• Starting Grants: they are likely to open first, with
the opening expected in the first quarter of 2014, and the deadline by the end
of March 2014.
• Consolidator Grants: opening and deadline of the call in
second quarter 2014
• Advanced Grants: call open and call deadline in fourth
quarter of 2014

It is expected that the programme will remain to a large
extent similar to the calls under FP7. However, a major expected change in
comparison to the ERC grants under FP7 are the rules for re-submission. Under
Horizon 2020 one may only resubmit the proposal in the following year, if the
proposal was reviewed as an “A”. Under FP7 this was still possible to resubmit
if one received a “B”.
