The Institute for Advanced Studies on Science, Technology and Society is accepting applications for its fellowship programme. This programme enables scientists to carry out research for a period of up to nine months at IAS-STS (Graz, Austria). Application proposals should aim to promote interdisciplinary investigation of the links and interactions between science, technology and society.
Applicants must have completed their university studies and preference is given to candidates working on their dissertation or post-doctoral thesis. There are no restrictions in disciplines or the type of position held by the applicant. In 2016-2017 the programme is dedicated to investigating the following areas:
- gender and queer dimensions in science and technology;
- the regulatory, policy and governance challenges of agricultural biotechnology;
- sustainable and innovative public procurement and ecodesign;
- the shaping of sustainable energy, climate and technology policies;
- sustainable food systems
