FEM 2019 symposium, on Tuesday 26 November

Is there room for diverse career paths at UM? Does UM offer career mobility for administrative staff? What is a successful academic? And does (s)he need UM Daycare?

The second FEM annual event will take place on Tuesday 26 November 2019, 15.00 – 19.30 at Lumière.

The event will conclude around 18.00 and afterwards drinks and fingerfood will follow. The event is free to attend, but; first come, first served. Register here.

Prof. Rianne Letschert, Rector Magnificus of UM and ‘Topvrouw van het Jaar 2019’, will discuss the importance of diversity in career paths within academia. Dr. Natasja Reslow, project manager of UMCares, will address the new family-friendly policy of Maastricht University and collect input for the possibility of setting up a UM Daycare. Astrid Zuurbier from NWO will explain the diversity policy in grants of the NWO. After an open discussion, parallel panels on academic and administrative staff respectively will take place to cover the specific needs for diversity in career paths at different levels.

In case you can’t find a babysitter for the event, you are welcome to bring your children. Parents remain responsible for their children; entertainment will be organised for children above 3 years old.
