Innovative concert i-Classics Empty Minds, on 12 October

On 1 September, the Maastricht Centre for the Innovation of Classical Music (MCICM) started. One of its aim is to gather information about innovative trends in classical music. One of the partners of MCICM, philharmonie zuidnederland, presents one of their innovative concerts on 12 October: i-Classics Empty Minds in Complex Maastricht.

The philharmonie zuidnederland (South Netherlands Philharmonic) is the professional symphony orchestra of Limburg, Brabant and Zeeland and is one of the initiators of the newly founded MCICM. One of the main goals of the orchestra is to innovate the classical music experience. With its concertseries i-Classics, the orchestra is challenging the boundaries of the existing presentation forms of classical music and offers a variety of cross-disciplinary encounters with other artforms.

i-Classics Empty Minds presents classical music in a completely new way. Visitors can feel the vibration of the strings, hear the breathing of the brass players and free their minds. Rather than leaning back, visitors will become a part of an experience in which philharmonie zuidnederland art collective playField. and FASHIONCLASH combine music, fashion and video.
