Introducing: Christophe Leclerc

My name is Christophe Leclerc and I joined FASoS as a student in European Studies in 2012. After completing my bachelor’s and master’s degree in European Studies here at the faculty, I was appointed as a PhD Candidate in the Political Science department. My research is part of the MiLifeStatus project, a broader research project investigating migrant life course and legal status transition.

The focus of my PhD will be on the relation between immigrant naturalisation and quality of life, with a particular interest in housing and health indicators. Taking a quantitative approach, I will use register and survey data from Statistics Netherlands and potentially another country. I also have a great interest in comparative politics and political sciences in general. My master thesis was about the link between social capital and voter turnout at general elections in EU countries using data from the European Social Survey.

I am very pleased to be joining FASoS and look forward to meeting you all.
