My name is Conor Douglas and I’m very pleased to join the Technology and Society Studies Department. Originally from Vancouver, I’m a sociologist of science, technology, health and medicine whose interests lie in the co-production of patients/publics and new medical technologies. My recent work focuses on governance issues relating to drugs for rare diseases, synthetic biology (for global health) and bio-banking.
I obtained my PhD from York (UK) and my MSc from UvA, both in STS.
