Keuzegids Masters 2017: three designated ‘top study programmes’ at FASoS

In the annual Keuzegids Masters FASoS has three designated ‘top study programmes’:  European Public Affairs, the research master in Cultures of Arts, Science and Technology and the research master in European Studies. This quality label is given only to those programmes that receive a score of 76 or higher in the Keuzegids assessment.
Maastricht University has been ranked as the country’s second best general university.

The research master European Studies received an overall score of 84.

“The MSc European Studies has undergone a major transformation in the past, increasing the content options for students and further developing the profile of the programme. We are delighted to see these efforts paying off. We would like to thank our colleagues – and especially former programme director Maarten Vink –  for all their hard work and exceptional commitment to the programme, and our students for their enthusiasm and highly constructive feedback.”
Giselle Bosse and Thomas Conzelmann, Programme Directors

The research master Cultures of Arts, Science and Technology received an overall score of 80.

”I am happy with this recognition of the programme, for a third time in a row. It shows that it is  exciting to study how society interacts with science, technology and arts”.
Harro van Lente, Programme Director

The master’s programme European Public Affairs received an overall score of 86.

The Keuzegids

The Keuzegids Masters rankings are based on student satisfaction scores from the National Student Survey (70%) and assessments by the accreditation organisation NVAO (30%). For more information on the assessment methodology, please visit www.keuzegids.org/methodiek.

In total, more than 750 master’s programmes are evaluated in 10 areas resulting in an overall score between 20 and 100 and a final verdict by the editors of the Keuzegids. A total of 142 programmes receive a final verdict of “++” or “+++” and are thus awarded the label ‘top study programme’.

The Keuzegids Masters is compiled and published by the Centre for Higher Education Information (CHOI) in Leiden. It is available for purchase in stores or online via www.keuzegids.org.
