Live Below the Line for the East Africa Famine Appeal

Join UNICEF Student team Maastricht in a very special campaign to support the humanitarian effort against the world’s largest hunger emergency in East Africa, Yemen and North-East Nigeria. Between 17- 23 April, we will be living at the absolute poverty line – €1,30 worth of food per day – and donating what we would have spent on one week’s groceries for the cause. Are you up to the challenge?

South Sudan, Yemen, Somalia, North-East Nigeria are facing an unprecedented and devastating food crisis as a result of prolonged droughts, conflict and poverty. UNICEF Netherlands is part of the Emergency Appeals Coalition with the Red Cross, Oxfam Novib, Cordaid, Save the Children, World Vision and CARE Netherlands amongst others, to deliver emergency food aid and medical care to 20 million people facing starvation in the region, including 2 million children. Take part in the Live Below The Line 2017 challenge with us and find out more in the link to the Facebook event or sponsor our efforts.
