On Saturday 5 November, Maastricht Students For Liberty (MSFL) will hold their third ESFL Regional Conference on the theme ‘The Future of Europe’. The conference will include lectures, panel discussions and debates on topics such as centralisation vs. decentralisation, reviving economic growth, multiculturalism and immigration, the rise of nationalism and more. This year’s theme is ‘The Future of Europe’ and as such we will be hosting interesting lectures and debates on the topics of the European Union, European Integration, the European Central Bank, the refugee crisis and many other poignant topics in relation to modern European life and the cause of liberty!
ESFL Regional Conferences have proven to be very popular events, attracting students from all across Europe and the world. Having organised two conferences before, we expect to attract over 100 visitors this year, primarily from the international student body of Maastricht University but also from elsewhere in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and beyond.
The conference will not only consist of lectures, debates and discussions but will also feature social events and offer spaces for sponsors to showcase.
As an attendee, you get the opportunity to listen to and participate in the discussion surrounding Europe and the EU, network with other students, academics, researchers, think-tank leaders and others involved in the modern liberty movement.
