This call aims at generating insights into the conditions under which actors
-across state, society and economy- who potentially have the power and capacity
to overcome political and institutional obstacles, will actively pursue
inclusive development. Research consortia composed of Dutch and African partners
can apply for funding for joint, interdisciplinary research and knowledge
sharing projects on Strategic Actors for Inclusive
Development.
Purpose? The main purposes of this call are the
contribution to new, evidence-based knowledge on motives, incentives and
structural favourable conditions as well as sharing of this knowledge with
relevant stakeholders to facilitate uptake and application of the newly acquired
knowledge.
Who? A research project must be carried out by researchers from
various disciplines and backgrounds and is directed by a consortium. The
consortium must consist of at least: a research institution from one of the
seven partner countries; a Dutch research institution or at least one
practitioner organisation from the relevant partner country. The total budget
available for this Call is €2,937,500. A maximum of €587,500 can be applied for
per research proposal.
The project duration may not exceed 30 months
(2.5 years).
Application deadline: Pre-proposals may be submitted until
13 November 2013, 12.00.
