Open application call: coordinator minor European Studies

Are you interested in the organisation and coordination of the minor European Studies? If so, please consider the vacancy for coordinator minor European Studies at FASoS, starting on 1 September for a period of three years. Your main task is overseeing the coordination and development of the minor programme. As such you are responsible for the organisation of the minor programme and should inform and instruct the coordinators of the minor courses. It also implies that you have to ensure that the minor programme operates within FASoS’ policies and procedures regarding quality standards, financial sustainability and work load for staff and students. Last but not least, you should be engaged in the FASoS quality care cycles.

Considering these tasks and responsibilities the minor coordinator should be an experienced member of the academic community who:

• holds a PhD and a UTQ (BKO) certificate
• is able to manage the programme, but also has a visionary view for a development strategy on the longer term
• is able to oversee the needs for the diverse set of students (exchange, pre-masters, students from other faculties) and collaborate with the related offices (IRO, Marcom, etc)
• is a strong team player who can provide academic leadership
• is familiar with the faculty policies and procedures

The coordinator is expected to start on 1 September 2017 and will be appointed for a period of 3 years. The remuneration previewed for this position is 60 Solver hours.
