Patrick Bijsmans, teacher and researcher in the Politics Department and faculty coordinator of the University Teaching Qualification, hosted a workshop on PBL and active learning in Bolzano on 9 October 2018. Entitled ‘Tutors in problem-based learning: From distant facilitator to approachable coach’, the workshop was all about tutoring and mentoring in an active learning environment. Participants included several full professors.
The workshop was all about tutoring and mentoring in an active learning environment and included a ‘Teaching & Learning Bingo’ and a ‘Challenging Situations in Active Learning’ exercise. Participants came from different departments of the multilingual University of Bolzano, with new and experienced teachers (including several full professors) actively discussing tutoring and mentoring and sharing their knowledge and experience.
