Patrick Bijsmans has joined the steering group for one of the university’s main research themes, ‘Learning & Innovation‘. Maastricht University is known for its innovative approach to education and for its university-wide choice for Problem-Based Learning. A defining characteristic of the research in this domain is the strong link between educational research and educational practice.
Patrick was asked following his role as FASoS University Teaching Qualification coordinator and his interest in teaching and learning research (for instance, his work with Arjan Schakel on attendance, published in the top teaching and learning journal ‘Higher Education’).
