Reminder: call for presentations DS conference, on 15 November

Present your own research – ongoing, planned, and dreams for the future – at the Digital Society conference on Friday 15 November.

Presentations are expected to be short (exact timings will be announced after we know how many people wish to participate) to enable extensive discussion. The goal is to explore interdisciplinary challenges and opportunities, in terms of topics and methods, for future work across all four FASoS research programmes.

The BA Digital Society raises important research questions concerning the impact of digitalisation on society, culture and politics. These cut across FASoS research themes and institutes which each bring together interdisciplinary perspectives. Humanities and social sciences are crucial for the development of a digital society that benefits all.

You – FASoS colleagues – are invited to present your own research – ongoing, planned, and dreams for the future. These might include substantive research questions about cyberpunk fiction, expectations of smart cities, new global digital divides, regulation of hate speech, or anything else. Presentations about what digital tools and methods could mean for your own research practices are also encouraged.

If you would like to make a presentation, please send Sally Wyatt the following: name of presenter(s), a title, and a 250 word abstract by 14 October.
