On 2 February 2018, 243.022 people joined the Warm Sweater Day. On this national energy saving day they turned down the heaters one degree Celsius.
Maastricht University participated as well. Our goal was to save 6% energy, so 6% CO2 emission. Our real emission on 2 February was 1708 kg/CO2 and that equals a 19% CO2 reduction!
The Observant and our UM website showed nice interviews of employees about their favorite sweater and their sustainability feelings.
