audience.
The book ‘Delen in dementie’ by FASoS colleagues
Dr Ruud Hendriks, Annette Hendrikx MA, Dr Ike Kamphof and Dr Aagje Swinnen is
out now and available as a free download on the FASoS
website.
The book is one of the results of the project “Beyond
Autonomy and Language: Towards a Disability Studies Perspective on Dementia”
funded by the Disability Studies in The Netherlands programme by NWO ZonMW. It
is directed at a general audience and contains short essays and columns which
aim to encourage people to think critically about negative stereotypical images
of people with dementia. As such, the book gives an insight into several of the
research results of this particular project. The essays are in particular
relevant to professional caretakers or family members who are in close contact
with people suffering from dementia. To ensure that as many people as possible
have access to the insights that this book has to offer, it has been made
available as a free download.
