Boekhandel Dominicanen and Maastricht University Library are proud to present ‘Spoken Word 2018’ to you. On 13 April 2018, from 00.00 to 01.00, you are very welcome to visit this wonderful event at the Dominican Church, (Dominicanerkerkstraat 1) and enjoy performances by young artists inspired by books from the UM Library’s Special Collections. The event is part of Museum Night Maastricht.
‘Lucky/Unlucky’
During Spoken Word various young writers, poets and singer-songwriters will show you what they are capable of and perform pieces along this year’s theme: ‘Lucky/Unlucky’. They have inspired these performances on works from the Special Collections of Maastricht University Library and added their personal interpretation to the theme. They will cover topics such as the apocalypse, witchcraft, prophecies, superstition and signs of good luck. Hopefully, they will inspire you with their words!
Museumnacht Maastricht
Museumnacht Maastricht is back on 13 April 2018! 14 locations will open their doors and provide you with some good entertainment to make the most of this Friday the 13th. Wander around the city and enjoy music, art and much more. And during this third edition, you can also once more enjoy Spoken Word at the Dominican Church!
