The Student Project Team is hiring for 2017-2018

The Student Project Team (SPT) is hiring the next team for 2017-2018. As an SPT member you will work in a team of four students for one academic year with the aim of making UM more student-oriented by developing, implementing and managing a variety of projects. Apply before Sunday 23 April 2017 by sending your motivation letter, CV, and grade list to studentprojectteam@maastrichtuniversity.nl. We are looking for proactive students who are great team players.

Who are we?
The Student Project Team (SPT) consists of four students who are working together for one academic year to improve the UM by making it more student-oriented. When you work as a SPT member you will have contact with many departments and organizations within and outside of the UM.

What do we do?
The name says it all: projects. The SPT designs, develops and contributes to UM projects, always with the student-perspective in mind. Some of the projects and tasks of the SPT include:
• Managing the Student Panel: as a SPT member you regularly organize panel sessions where the panelists can provide feedback on various UM projects
• Developing a student friendly environment for the new campus at the Tapijn area
• Improving the Student Portal by ensuring that it caters to the needs of students
• Working together with EDLAB, Career Services and other actors to make students more employable
• Creating a centralized Exchange Database for students that are going on exchange
• Organizing the Student Idea Competition where students can win up to €400 to kick-start their idea

Who do we seek?
Proactive students who are not afraid to share their opinion and are team players. Applicants need to have good communication skills and be able to spend a fair amount of time on the job. In return, you will have the opportunity to master important skills such as managing and developing projects, expanding and maintaining a network of contacts, and conducting efficient time management. Finally, being a SPT member is a paid part-time position (your salary is handled by InterUM).
