Town House Garden

Have you been wondering about the enthusiastic people gardening in front of the C-building? Meet the Town House Garden, a student-run group of people who enjoy getting their hands dirty while learning about plants, permaculture and organic gardening. Over the past few weeks the Town House Garden has been working to get the strip of land at the C-building ready for winter.

All the old herbs and plants are being removed to make space for ‘green manure’. These plants, called Japanese Oat and Winter Rye, give nutrition to the soil and make sure the ground stays covered and loose during winter. This way in spring time we will save work and the soil will be completely rich and ready for new spring plants. Next projects of the Town House Garden will be building a compost and a herb dryer.
