UM ERC information session, on 7 June

Are you planning to prepare a proposal in the ERC funding scheme? If you’re looking for further information, insights and tips, or have questions about the scheme, this event is for you.

On Thursday 7 June, a UM-wide information session will be held on the ERC funding instruments of the European Research Council (ERC) within Horizon 2020. The programme will provide you with sufficient information on the scheme and the application process.

The RVO-NCP specialist on ERC funding will introduce the ERC funding schemes and give some information on the application process. A successful Consolidator Grant applicant will share his experiences with the application and an Advanced Grant laureate, who has served on the ERC evaluation panel, will share experiences of the evaluation process. Attendees can ask questions during the presentations and at the end of the event.

  • 11.30-11.40: Word of welcome
  • 11.40-12.20: Intro to ERC Starting, Consolidator, Advanced and Synergy Grant funding schemes by Esther Verhoeven of Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO)/ National Contact Point (NCP)
  • 12.20-12.50: Experiences of successful applicant Dr. Cameron Browne – FHS ERC CoG laureate 2017 – Social Sciences and Humanities (using computer sciences, informatics and mathematical approaches)
  • 12.50-13.20: Experiences of an ERC panel member Prof.dr. Rainer Goebel – FPN ERC StG panel 2013 and 2015 – Life Sciences [LS5] ERC AdG laureate 2010 – Social Sciences and Humanities [SH4]
