UM Societal Engagement Event, on November 27

You are invited to take part in a UM-wide Societal Engagement Event on Tuesday 27 November, from 12.00 – 17.30. The event will offer presentations and workshops to make you more familiar with the concept of societal engagement and to give you tools, tips and tricks to become socially engaged.

Entrance is free, but registration is necessary. Please register online.

The event is intended for all UM researchers and will take place in the beautiful Lumière Cinema (Bassin 88, Maastricht).

Programme

  • 12.00: Arrival
  • 12.15: Opening – Paul Smeets: Sharing knowledge with society (a.o. PhD slam)
  • 12.45: Presentation – Gonny Willems: collaborating with society within the programme “Maastricht, Working on Europe”
  • 13.15: Presentation – Sanne Raap – Project “Universiteit met de Buurt”

13.45 Break with info market 

Goal info market: concrete examples and partners to have more interaction with societal partners.
