NWO announced the upcoming call for its Social Sciences TOP programme (previously social sciences open competition), expected to open end of February 2013. This year, the instrument TOP will connect to the so-called Top Sectors Logistics, Creative Industry (theme Business Innovation) and/or the Social Infrastructure Agenda (SIA). An example of a topic is administrative resilience and renewal of governance (Social Infrastructure Agenda).
Upcoming Call NWO Social Sciences TOP
NWO announced the upcoming call for its Social Sciences TOP programme (previously social sciences open competition), expected to open end of February 2013. This year, the instrument TOP will connect to the so-called Top Sectors Logistics, Creative Industry (theme Business Innovation) and/or the Social Infrastructure Agenda (SIA).
Examples of topics are: • Digitalisation, copyright and revenu models (Creative Industry) • Aspects of security (Social Infrastructure Agenda) • ADministrative resilience and renewal of governance (Social Infrastructure Agenda)
In 2013 the application process is two-phased: first phase a letter of intent, second phase a full proposal. The call will be opened by the end of February. The relevant documents will then be available at www.nwo.nl/top/magw. The letter of intent can be submitted between end of February, whereas the full proposals are to be submitted mid-October
Public private partnerships are a requirement for this programme, whereas a minimum of 15% co-financing is required for the external partners. In the period February-May meetings will be organized in which academics and external partners from the public-private domain will meet.
