Upcoming research assessment of FASoS

The six-yearly assessment of the Research Institute is coming up. On Thursday 14 September an external committee will visit our Faculty. The most important difference to earlier self-reports and assessments is that this time, the whole faculty will be evaluated as one research unit. Kiran Patel will visit all departments at FASoS in the course of the coming weeks to give a detailed update on the assessment procedure.

FASoS’ various research programmes and centres will be described in the self-report, but in line with Standard Evaluation Protocol requirements, we will present our figures and policies for the faculty’s research institute as a whole.

Chair of the committee is prof.dr. Johan Schot (Professor in the History of Technology and Sustainability Transitions Studies, currently director of SPRU (Science Policy Research Unit), United Kingdom). Through his Dutch background and current function as director he has a good perspective on both Dutch and international interests.

The other committee members are:
Prof.dr. I.S.A. Baud (Isa) (Professor in International Development Studies at Amsterdam University, The Netherlands).
Prof. dr. M.A.P. Bovens (Mark) (Professor of Public Administration at the Utrecht University School of Governance, The Netherlands).
Prof. Dr. A. Erll (Astrid) (Professor of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures at Goethe Universitat Frankfurt am Main, Germany).
