Update on PURE & Scientific Report 2019

PURE is expected to be online again early next week (17 or 18 February). If you were not able to update your research outputs for 2019 yet, please do so no later 10 March.

This deadline replaces the earlier deadline of 1 January 2020. If you require assistance with data entry, please read on.

Due to the interruption of the cyber attack, the Research Support Office (RSO) at FASoS and the PURE team at the University Library (UB) will exceptionally assist you with your data entry. If you would like to use this service please send a Word document with your research outputs to k.vanhonk@maastrichtuniversity.nl.

Please do this before the Carnival weekend (22 February). Right now is even better!

We will only upload publication information for 2019 as this is urgently required for the Scientific Report. If you intend to add other data (publications from earlier years, activities from any year) please do so yourself once PURE is online again.

In PURE you should report the following (if applicable):

  • Article scientific refereed. For peer-reviewed journals it is NOT necessary to send anonymous referee reports. Online first publications of journal articles can be mentioned as 2019 publications. But: as soon as it appears in printed form it will not be included in the scientific report again;
  • Article scientific non-refereed (all other publications aimed at an academic audience);
  • Article professional (aimed at a professional audience);
  • Book scientific and Part of Book scientific. This is a publication at an academic publisher. In case a peer-review process has taken place, please indicate this by selecting ‘7 Refereed’ under Keywords. See instructions in the FASoS manual PURE;
  • Volume editorship. This is an edited volume, which can be either scientific/professional/popularising. In case it is scientific and a peer-review process has taken place, please indicate this by selecting ‘7 Refereed’ under Keywords. See instructions in the FASoS manual PURE;
  • Book professional and Part of Book professional (aimed at a professional audience which has a clear link to our research);
  • Book popularising and Part of Book popularising (aimed at a broader public);
  • PhD Thesis;
  • Inaugural speech;
  • Reports, these include advisory reports to public and private parties, such as municipalities, provinces or companies;
  • Media performance, these can include i.e. contributions to weekly or daily journals to magazines, or interviews for TV/radio.

The different output categories you have to report are part of the national Standard Evaluation Protocol (SEP). More information about SEP can be found here.

PURE also offers the options to register activities. At FASoS, you are invited to do so, but not obliged.

The FASoS manual on PURE can be found here.
