Wanted: Student Assistants for Annual Conference Dutch/Belgian Political Science Associations

The Annual Conference of the Dutch and Belgian Political Science Associations (called the ‘Politicologenetmaal’ in Dutch), to be held on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 June 2015, is looking for 10 student assistants. Please send your name and a short biography of 2-3 lines (program, year of study, etc.) to Ms Dianne Borgignons, of secretariat of the Department of Political Science, at etmaal2015@maastrichtuniversity.nl with the words ‘student assistant’ in the subject line. Please respond by Friday 22 May at the latest.

About 180 scholars will participate and the conference will feature 14 workshops most of which will be held in English. The academic coordination of the conference is in the hands of Dr Christine Arnold and Prof Maarten Vink of the Department of Political Science.

The workshops will take place in classrooms at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

What do we ask from you?

To help us with practical issues on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 June, such as placing signs with directions to the rooms, filling the contents of conference maps and handing out conference materials to registered people, helping people to find the rooms and help with audiovisual aids, etc. We will meet for two hours in the week before the conference to discuss your tasks during the conference.

What can we offer you?

During the sessions you will have an opportunity to sit in a workshop and experience academic science ‘in action’. You will also be able to meet and network with Dutch and Belgian political scientists. Finally, we can offer you a free lunch on Thursday and Friday, a t-shirt and a book voucher of 25 euros.
