The Faculty Board is pleased to announce that Wiebe Bijker will start as chair of the Ethical Research Committee Inner-city (ERCIC) for an initial period of 4 years. Information about the Ethical Research Committee Inner-city as well as the submission form can be found on the UM website.
Ethical review of scientific research involving human participants or personally identifiable data is done by several ethical review committees within the university. If studies fall under the Medical Research Involving Human Subjects Act (WMO) review by the accredited review committee METC is mandatory. For all other studies ethical review is done by the Ethical Review Committee Psychology and Neuroscience (ERCPN) and the Ethical Review Committee Inner City faculties (ERCIC).
